Full Rope Coils for Ranch Work and Custom Rope Setups
A full coil is rope sold by the coil instead of as a finished rope. It is for ropers who make their own custom rope and for tack shops and saddle makers who cut ropes to length for their customers.
The white, green, orange and gray coils are 4 strand PolyBlend, treated and lead free, each offered in three lays and three diameters with its own length. The multicolor Coral coil is ordered through our sales team, who confirm its options.

What sets them apart
Coil or finished rope
A finished ranch rope comes at a set length, ready to use. A coil leaves the length and the finish to you or to the rope maker you work with.
Why tack shops carry coils
One coil in a given lay and diameter lets a shop cut ropes in the length each customer asks for, instead of stocking many finished lengths.
Reading the options
For White, Green, Orange and Gray, choose the lay (XS, S or MS) and the diameter (3/8 scant 9.1 mm, 3/8 true 9.5 mm or 3/8 full 10.0 mm). Length is fixed per coil and listed on its page.
Coil length by color
White is 984 ft. Green, Orange and Gray are 1,000 ft. For a multicolor option, explore Coral and consult our sales team about your configuration.
Working cattle
The neon green and orange Open Range coils offer bright visibility for branding, gathering and traditional buckaroo gear.

How to choose
- Pick the color: white, neon green, neon orange, gray, or the multicolor Coral. Lay and diameter options are the same on the first four; ask our sales team about Coral.
- For White, Green, Orange and Gray, choose the lay that matches the rope you or your customer want: XS is the softest of the three, MS the firmest.
- For White, Green, Orange and Gray, choose the diameter: scant, true or full 3/8.
- The number of finished ropes depends on the lengths you cut and the allowance for each honda and finish.

How many ropes can I cut from one coil?
It depends on the length of each rope and how much you use for the honda and finish. Divide the listed coil length by your finished rope length plus your tie allowance.
Are the coils treated?
White, Green, Orange and Gray coils are treated and lead free.
